Unraveling in the mud.

  1. Quite an imaginative and resonating image, Heather. The subject of the photo may well be that centered and decaying bark slowly disassembling and returning, atom by atom, to the brown earth, but the real focus of the picture, for me at least, is that single, green shoot pushing up from the nutrient landscape. Death followed by rebirth, a cycle eternally recurring. Tapping into an archetypal pattern as old as man. I like when you stretch into such far-reaching arcs.
