Farm field and the lowering mist.

  1. Somehow I missed a few of your last photo blogs. "Untitled": My interest peaked here by the stated juxtaposition [and positioning] of the manufactured plank against the rough, untouched bark, all part of what we know as the concept of "tree". You usually have something to say, Heather. I like that, especially when it's oblique. Inference forces thought, pulling perspective from the viewer. A quiet but forceful way to comment. Takes some art.
"Path To The Falls": Rich in visual exploration. The pic quickly attracts my vision to that dark- shaped tree and then to back to that bright wooden rail in the foreground. From here, my eye travels joyously into and through the data-filled image of clear depth, everything unraveling rapidly but solidly. Interesting topic: the path to the falls and not the falls themselves.
"Farm Field": Loved the "feel" of this photograph. Soft, muted tones and colours, everything about to vanish, to evaporate into the grey air - another one of your Monet paintings where you capture the effect of light dissolving the landscape. Also really appreciated the gentle pull of that faint, farm road running off into the wavy horizon, asking me to look hard at the insubstantial shapes hugging the horizon. My eyes thank you.
