  1. A large, green wheel spinning out from center, filling and yet not filling the envelope of the frame. Those holes, those spaces made by life eating life, break the smooth symmetry, and we ponder the forces, the natural forces within our landscape at work always. Life giving life - the leaf eats sunshine and the insect eats leaf.
I love the way your photos can gently coax us to break down barriers and travel to places we rarely explore. Nature presses close to you; you feel its immense hand upon your shoulders, your arms, your feet. You wear it like a warm blanket. It is your great curiosity of nature and your hunger for experience in nature and your bewilderment of nature that empower your work. Your voice, both in writing and image, is assured, gentle, confident, strong. In your vivid celebration of life, you have much to teach us.
