In the field.

  1. Beautiful image. The sharp juxtaposition of colours pleasingly holds my eye: the glistening, white yellow of the fall grass fanning the foreground played off against that half-hidden and dark stand of trees in the background, which divides ground from sky, the bluest of skies. The eye travels from gold to dark green to light blue and then to deep blue as it moves vertically from bottom to top. That single, yellow grass stalk reaching upwards, brought into shape by the pure blue behind it, finally becomes the focal point of the photograph.
The eye enjoys the tracking; my mood is one of warmth, peace. It makes me reflectively quiet. I like that, Heather.
