Wooden gate and a stone wall.

  1. Loved the wide spectrum of colours and the rough texture and the cut vertical lines in this photograph - a vivid experience for both the eye and the hand. The eye and the finger tips run up this frame absorbing its beauty. I also must comment on the meaning, on the thought you weave into this image - meaning, vision, something your photos always exude. My thoughts are almost feelings here as I see time submerge, rub out man's feeble efforts - the human fence and the human stone arch, both dripping red blood, are fading into the depths of time,as all must. The photograph is pleasingly distinctive, for me at least, because of that small and slender but resilient green vine edging in from left of the frame, symbolizing the power of nature as it sweeps all before it. If there is one central vision in your work, it is your celebration of nature, its unremitting strength and its deep beauty. What can I say, Heather, I just love your art. You do far more than merely click that shutter and mechanically reproduce your chosen world. Plaudits!

  2. The vine, importantly, edging in from right of frame - oops! Makes a difference, artistically.
