Following the sun.

  1. Beautiful lines both curved and straight and gorgeous colours both light and dark, all pleasingly balanced against that solid, subjectless background igniting the image with appealing contrast. The eye, given its biological distribution of retinal cells, runs to the dark colours first and then radiates out to the frame's edges - paradoxically, a still life with motion - petals reaching outwards from a supportive green center. I also like that single flower in the right of the frame closed and simply waiting for the sun's nutritional light to open its arms. It's as if the photo tells a nature narrative, as we read it from right to left. This "simple" photo has much to say - the complexity here is so subtle. I just love your soft inferences.
If it true that we are what we appreciate, then I am your photos. Not a bad state of being!
