Compelling and delicate balance between the last of colourful fall and the beginning of monochromatic winter all in this single frame, the eye pleasingly running from the vivid white to the vivid gold and back again. The frost seems to be slowly moving, moving from the vine and up the leaf itself but not quite reaching the golden tip. Winter is merely emerging, pictured almost as growth. Beautiful shot.
Thanks Ian! Those ferns are so beautiful this time of year, each leaf is full of detail, and then with the frost, it was definitely begging to be photographed.
