Snow sculpture 2.

  1. A lovely photo - the beautiful weight of soft, white winter bending but not breaking the small, black arms of a branch. The complete absence of colour here is appealing, giving the image a stark simplicity, where lines are sharply drawn yet highly suggestive, somewhat elusive. Nature has a secret it seems, as the photograph whispers into my ear. The cotton snow has created a fantasy of shapes rich in texture and line. Depth of field emerges lightly, quite appropriately enough, from the faint background shadows. The deep beauty of winter discovered in the commonplace. You see, and see with emotion, what I overlook. A sensuous shot.
